Chosen Charity for 2026
Each year, the Miniaturia Guild supports a charity.
This year, the Miniature Fair will be in support of the Volunteer Wildfire Services (VWS). A portion of ticket sales and the proceeds from the haunted house experience will be donated to them.
Members of the public attending the Fair can show further support of VWS by bringing Wishlist items to the Fair at St Thomas Church Hall, Campground Road, Rondebosch, which will serve as a collection point.
What is needed most by these firefighters when on the fire line includes: AA and AAA batteries for headlamps | Energy bars | Granola bars |Game/Energade powder mix | Nuts | Nut-based protein bars | Wet wipes | 500ml and 1l bottles of water (water larger than 1 litre too heavy to carry) | Eye drops (Eyegene or similar) | Lip balm
As temperatures soar each year, the work of the intrepid VWS volunteers is vital to preserving our natural heritage by helping extinguish the wildfires that have become characteristic of our summers. Please support VWS generously!
